A girl in Malaysia has attracted attention by revealing that she earns money by folding laundry on behalf of others at a coin laundry.
On the 11th (local time), the online media 'Goody25' reported that this story has recently become a hot topic on social networking services (SNS). The protagonist, Ms. A, visits the coin laundry three times a week and earns 500 to 700 ringgit (approximately 150,000 to 220,000 KRW) by folding laundry for people who use the facility.
What started as a way to earn pocket money, Ms. A recently realized it could be profitable and even hired employees. She revealed via SNS that one of her employees was assigned to fold laundry at a guesthouse and earned as much as 7,000 ringgit (approximately 2,210,000 KRW). The post has currently recorded over 400,000 views and is receiving a strong response.
One netizen who came across the story said, "I also tried folding laundry as a side job," and added, "I earned enough folding laundry at hotels and hot springs to go on a 2-night, 3-day overseas trip," surprising many. They emphasized, "It looks easy but is surprisingly hard work."
