Park golf is a sport that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy at riverside green spaces. Moreover, the craze for park golf is heating up due to the advantage that only one club is needed to play.

The International Park Golf Federation (President Kim Myeonsu), a leader in the park golf scene in Gwangju, held a launch ceremony for the Gwangju Headquarters Club at the Damyang Changpyeong Park Golf Course on the 12th and began organizing local clubs by region. Seo Jeonghwan was appointed as the president of the Gwangju Headquarters, So Jeongwoo as vice president, and Kim Jinsuk as general secretary.

Starting with the launch ceremony of the Gwangju Headquarters, the Park Golf Federation plans to gradually expand regional headquarters and hold regular monthly tournaments for club members.

In the friendly match held afterward, about 100 participants from six regions including Gwangju, Goheung, Naju, Gunsan in Jeonbuk, Gyeongsan in Gyeongbuk, and Gimhae took part. They enjoyed building camaraderie through the competition and the joy of receiving abundant gifts.

The Damyang Changpyeong Course (18 holes) is exclusively used by the International Park Golf Federation and was established at President Kim Myeonsu's personal expense. It is located 30 minutes from Gwangju, making it highly popular among club members.

The International Park Golf Federation was the first in Korea to form a trilateral alliance with Japan and Thailand, and with a dedicated course in Pattaya, Thailand, they plan to hold a local club friendship tournament there this November.

Kim Myeonsu, president of the International Park Golf Federation, said, "Park golf organizations are divided into associations, federations, and unions, causing difficulties in course usage. Since golf courses are created by local governments for residents, we hope to avoid allowing access only to specific clubs and ensure that everyone can use them fairly."
