On the 17th, Yoon Jin-woong, Head of Marketing at Kiwoom Asset Management, introduced the Kiwoom Didim The Noppi EMP Fund at a press briefing held by the Korea Financial Investment Association.

Kiwoom Asset Management's 'Kiwoom Didim The Noppi EMP' fund is a product launched by remodeling an existing bond-mixed fund with over 8 years of stable management performance. This fund precisely diagnoses economic phases based on big data and algorithms and adjusts the optimal investment asset proportions monthly.

It is a fund that maximizes the effect of diversification by investing in ETFs related to global stocks, bonds, and alternative assets. It enhances the inherent advantages of ETFs by enabling diversified investment in countries, industries, and themes that are difficult to invest in through individual stocks. Through this, it aims to increase the medium- to long-term expected returns. The target return is 3-5 percentage points higher than the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

He emphasized, "This is a fund that excludes emotional human decision-making and effectively manages downside risk, enabling stable pension asset management," adding, "It is a very suitable product for managing stable retirement funds." He also added, "Since it mainly invests in ETFs, it is also efficient in terms of costs."

This fund utilizes a robo-advisor. Quarterback Asset Management serves as the advisory institution. Quarterback Asset Management has expertise in the retirement pension market, including owning its own retirement pension research institute. It also conducts objective and scientific analysis through data analysis and algorithm generation.

Jo Hong-rae, CEO of Quarterback Asset Management, emphasized, "Kiwoom's Didim Fund does not take a biased approach toward specific industries or commodities," adding, "It is characterized by allocation that allows operation in line with the growth of the global asset market over the long term."

He also cited the focus on utilizing ETFs as an advantage. CEO Jo said, "We leveraged the inherent advantages of ETFs," adding, "We incorporated transparency in asset allocation, corporate efficiency, and flexibility to adjust into the fund."

He further emphasized objective management. He explained, "Since the operation is based on results derived from data analysis and algorithms, it enables more objective management compared to individual judgment," and added, "We plan to operate by embedding an investment philosophy suitable for the Didim Fund for retirement assets while sufficiently capturing profits from the long-term growth of the global asset market."

In particular, adjusting asset proportions according to risk signals is also a feature. He said, "We also implement strategic asset allocation that adjusts stock proportions according to risk signals," adding, "It is a fund that thoroughly manages risk."
