Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do Holds Opening Ceremony for Mokdong~Gosan Mountain Road Construction Project

Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi-do Holds Opening Ceremony for Mokdong~Gosan Mountain Road Construction Project Gwangju City held an opening ceremony on the 17th to mark the completion of the "Mokdong~Gosan Road Construction Project (Soro 3-614 Line)," which began in October 2021.

On the 17th, Gwangju City in Gyeonggi Province completed the 'Mokdong~Gosan Road Construction Project (Soro 3-614 Line)' which began in October 2021, and held an opening ceremony.

This project aimed to improve the traffic environment for local residents and businesses by constructing a previously undeveloped road between Mokdong and Gosan-dong, which was difficult for vehicle passage. The road extends a total length of 641 meters and a width of 6 meters from Mokdong to Gosan 2 District, with a total project cost of 3.3 billion KRW.

With the opening of this road, the convenience of transportation for residents who previously had to detour from Gosan-dong to Taejeon-dong is greatly improved, and it is expected that the accessibility between regions will enhance living conditions for about 40 companies and reduce logistics costs.

Mayor Bang Se-hwan stated, "Through this project, we have improved the poor traffic environment in Gosan-dong and Mokdong areas and expanded infrastructure, which is expected to increase the competitiveness of companies and revitalize the local economy. We will continue to do our best to expand road traffic infrastructure through ongoing urban planning road construction projects to ensure that citizens experience no inconvenience."
