Ulju County Office Haetteumi Ssireum Team Wins 4 Medals at National Sports Festival

Kim Muho and No Beomsu Gold Medals, Jeon Jongjin Silver Medal, Lee Gwangseok Bronze Medal

The Ulju County Office Haetteumi Ssireum Team participated as representatives of Ulsan in the '105th National Sports Festival' and achieved a total of four medals, including two gold medals in individual events.

Ulju County reported that from the 11th to the 17th, at the Ssireum competition held at the Gimhae City Cultural and Sports Center in Gyeongnam during the 105th National Sports Festival, the Haetteumi Ssireum Team won two gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal.

In this competition, athlete No Beom-su won the gold medal in the Cheongjang class (under 85 kg), and athlete Kim Mu-ho won the gold medal in the Yeoksa class (under 105 kg). Additionally, athlete Jeong Jong-jin earned the silver medal in the Yongjang class (under 90 kg), and athlete Lee Gwang-seok took the bronze medal in the Sojang class (under 80 kg).

On the 16th, when the men's general individual final match was held, Ulju County Mayor Lee Soon-geol, Ulju County Council Chairman Choi Gil-young, Vice Chairman Jeong Woo-sik, and Administrative Welfare Committee Chairperson Noh Mi-kyung visited the venue to encourage the athletes and officials and to support the participants.

Ulju County Mayor Lee Soon-geol said, “I am pleased that the Ulju County Office Haetteumi Ssireum Team, representing Ulsan, achieved good results at the National Sports Festival,” and added, “I hope they continue to perform as a representative Ssireum team of Ulsan and Ulju County.”

The Ulju County Office Haetteumi Ssireum Team won a total of 4 medals at the 105th National Sports Festival and is taking a commemorative photo with County Governor Lee Soon-geol, County Council Chairman Choi Gil-young, Vice Chairman Jung Woo-sik, and Administrative Welfare Committee Chairwoman Noh Mi-kyung.
