Global Laundry Tech Company Sets Foundation for Leap Forward
Uisikju Company, which operates the contactless mobile laundry service 'Laundrigo,' announced on the 17th the opening of Laundrigo Global Campus, a B2C (business-to-consumer) laundry complex.
The opening ceremony held on the 16th was attended by Uisikju Company CEO Jo Seong-woo, Andong-gwang, Deputy Mayor of Gunpo City, Lim Jeong-wook, Director of Startup Venture Innovation Office at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Han Sang-woo, Chairman of Korea Startup Forum, and heads of local industrial organizations.
In his welcoming speech, CEO Jo said, “Just as Tesla found answers on-site and created innovation, Uisikju Company will innovate work culture and spaces and strengthen on-site execution capabilities. Additionally, by investing heavily in automated processes, we will solidify our industry leadership and grow into a global laundry tech company with world-class competitiveness.”
The Laundrigo Global Campus spans 11,900㎡ (approximately 3,600 pyeong) and combines the Laundrigo Mega Smart Factory, capable of processing 270,000 laundry items per day, with the headquarters office and the Laundry Innovation Lab, a laundry research and development (R&D) organization.
Uisikju Company plans to quickly apply innovative solutions derived by its operating organization to the smart factory site, respond swiftly to the changing market, and achieve a turnaround to profitability in the fourth quarter of this year through cost reduction.
