Gyeongnam Employers Federation Holds 'Discussion Forum for New Middle-Aged Participants'

The Gyeongnam Employers Federation, operating the Gyeongnam Happy Tomorrow Center under the support of Gyeongsangnam-do, held a discussion forum for the middle-aged on the 16th titled "2024 Middle-aged Participants Discussion Forum: Middle-aged, I Brand Myself."

The discussion forum, held for the second time following last year at the Gyeongnam Happy Tomorrow Center, created a space to share concerns about work and life after retirement among the middle-aged generation, and to explore new ways to turn the talents of middle-aged individuals into value through various cases of middle-aged participants preparing for reemployment after retirement.

This forum consisted of four case presentations by middle-aged participants and one special lecture. It featured success stories of middle-aged individuals who succeeded in reemployment after retiring from their main jobs, discovered new jobs by utilizing their personal talents and careers, and challenged themselves to create new opportunities. Additionally, a special lecture on "Personal Branding Design," which can enhance value by branding the talents and individuality of middle-aged individuals, was conducted.

Following this, under the facilitation of Lee Hajin, team leader of the Gyeongnam Happy Tomorrow Center, the forum proceeded with the following presentations: △ Entrepreneurship of middle-aged individuals: "Challenges, Achievements, and the Future" (Kang Youngsik, CEO of YK Robotics) △ The path to reemployment after retirement: "Starting the Third Act of Life" (Seo Jungwoo, Senior Researcher at VAM) △ Early retirement and career change challenges for middle-aged individuals (Eun Jeongcheol, Secretary General of Masan Free Trade Zone Enterprise Association) △ Reemployment experience vs. desired job (Jeon Duman, Electrical Manager of HDC Labs Facilities Team).

After the forum, the special lecture "Designing My Own Personal Branding" provided time to extract and imprint the core of the skills individuals possess through roadmap creation.
