Gyeonggi Suwon City will hold the "2024 Cultural City Suwon Festival" on the 19th at Suwon First Outdoor Music Hall and the complex cultural space 111CM to celebrate Culture Day. The Cultural City Suwon Festival is an urban festival showcasing Suwon's rich cultural resources.
It is more than just an event to enjoy culture; citizens become the protagonists and the theme of the stories. It is filled with diverse performances, forums, exhibitions, Sumunjang Market, and experiential programs.
At the First Outdoor Music Hall, a concert titled "Fusion: Together, Suwon" will be held at 7 PM, featuring the Suwon City Choir, singer Lee Eun-mi, La Poem, Jung Mi-jo, and the Musical Pops Orchestra. At 2 PM, the citizen participation archiving project "Cultural Magnification ×125," a citizen empathy concert created from stories submitted by citizens under the theme "My Personal City Story," titled "Suwonhaesseo, Today Too," will take place.
In addition, various programs to experience and enjoy arts and culture are prepared, including Atmos Suwon, Embroidering the Autumn Night, Accidental Book Concert, Humanities Practice Sharing Meeting, Sumunjang Market, Sabujak Workshop, Together Space Small Experience Center, Introducing Companion Space, and Suwon, Breathing with Culture.

A Suwon city official explained, "The 2024 Cultural City Suwon Festival is a festival where you can see at a glance the various human resources, spaces, and content resources cultivated through Suwon City's cultural city development project over the past three years."
Suwon City was selected as the "3rd Legal Cultural City" designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2021 and is promoting cultural city projects with a maximum investment of 15 billion KRW over five years from 2022 to 2026.
