BBQ has expanded into Indiana, marking its presence in 30 out of the 50 states in the United States, following its entry into Tennessee, Nebraska, and Arkansas this year.

Genesis BBQ Group, a chicken franchise, announced on the 17th that it has opened ‘BBQ Indiana Castleton Branch’ in Indianapolis, the capital of Indiana. A BBQ representative said, "We are solidifying our position as a leading K-food brand in the birthplace of the franchise."

Indianapolis, where the store is located, is the largest city in Indiana, with about 880,000 residents out of the state's total population of approximately 6.6 million. When including the surrounding metropolitan area, the population concentration reaches about 2 million. Notably, the store is adjacent to ‘Castleton Square Mall,’ one of the largest commercial districts in the region, and is close to large shopping venues such as Costco, providing excellent accessibility for consumers.

BBQ Indiana Castleton Branch has a total of 70 seats and covers approximately 280㎡ (85 pyeong). The store offers chicken menu items such as ‘Golden Fried,’ ‘Chizzling,’ and ‘Gangjeong,’ along with dishes like kimchi fried rice and tteokbokki, aiming to introduce the taste of Korea to local consumers.

Since entering the U.S. market in 2007, BBQ has expanded its stores mainly in key areas such as New York, New Jersey, Texas, California, and Hawaii. Including Indiana, it now operates in 30 states across the country.
