Huons Appoints Vice President Kyungmi Park as Head of New Growth R&D

Huons announced on the 16th that it has appointed Vice President Park Kyung-mi as the head of new growth research and development (R&D).

Vice President Park Kyung-mi graduated from the Department of Pharmacy at Seoul National University and earned her master's and doctoral degrees in the Graduate School of Pharmacy (majoring in Physical Pharmacy) at the same university. She has since held various positions including Clinical Manager in the Development Team at CJ Pharmaceutical Business Division, Clinical Director at Hanmi Pharmaceutical, Head of Development Division (Executive Director) at CHA Biotech, Director in charge of Product Development at the Development Division of Chong Kun Dang, and Vice President at Genome & Company. Additionally, she has served as a member of the Clinical Development Committee of the Korea Pharmaceutical Association, a project evaluation and investment review committee member of the Ministry of Science and ICT New Drug Development Project Group, and more recently as an investment review committee member of the National New Drug Development Project Group and chairman of the R&D Committee of the Korea Industrial Pharmaceutical Association.

Based on her extensive experience spanning the entire process from clinical development planning to approval and sales, she is the ideal candidate to accelerate Huons’ long-term growth momentum.”

Last month, the Huons Group completed the Huons Dongam Research Center in Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, to consolidate the group’s R&D capabilities, with move-in scheduled for next month. Huons expects that through the role of newly appointed Vice President Park Kyung-mi, communication among research organizations will be strengthened and R&D synergy further enhanced.
