President Yoon Suk-yeol voted in the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education by-election at a polling station set up at the Yongsan Craft Center in Seoul on the morning of the 16th, according to a written briefing by Presidential Spokesperson Jeong Hye-jeon.
Upon arriving at the polling station, President Yoon greeted the election staff by saying, "Thank you for your hard work. Have many people come to vote?" He then went through the identity verification process, including showing his ID. Afterward, he moved to the voting booth, cast his ballot, folded the ballot paper, and placed it into the ballot box.
President Yoon also encouraged the observers at the site by saying, "Thank you for your hard work," before leaving the polling station.
President Yoon had previously voted early in the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections in 2022 and the 22nd National Assembly elections this year.
