Education at the Center Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7 to 8 PM
Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seong-heon) announced on the 16th that it has recently launched a companion dog program called ‘Hamkkehalgae’ at the Seodaemun Naepumae (愛) Center, utilizing evening hours for office workers.
The Seodaemun Naepumae Center, opened by Seodaemun-gu in April this year, serves as a hub space to promote a mature pet ownership culture. It is a three-story building with a total area of 760㎡.
This program was designed to raise awareness about the health and welfare of pets and to help solve difficulties faced by pet owners as well as behavioral problems of companion dogs. Education sessions are held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7 PM to 8 PM at the center’s training room and outdoor park.
The program includes ▲ Geonganghage (Healthy Dog) - learning exercises and massages for dog health ▲ Sanchaekhage (Walking Dog) - making walking friends for dogs in our neighborhood ▲ Yeppeojilgae (Beautifying Dog) - basic care for companion dogs. To enhance the educational effect, classes are conducted in small groups of 4 to 5 people per class, and those interested can apply on a first-come, first-served basis through the Seodaemun Naepumae Center website. For more details, please contact the Seodaemun Naepumae Center.
Mayor Lee Seong-heon said, “Pet owners sometimes face difficulties in managing their pets’ health, correcting behavior, and providing proper training due to their busy lives. I hope this education will help deepen the bond with pets and form better relationships.”
