Save Melon's 'Eumak Seodrab' to TikTok Playlist

Kakao Entertainment's music platform Melon announced on the 16th that it has formed a partnership with the global short-form media platform TikTok. Through this, Melon has joined as a new partner for TikTok's new feature, 'Add to Music App.'

TikTok's 'Add to Music App' allows music fans to save songs they discover on TikTok to their preferred music streaming services. Starting today, music fans worldwide can save music discovered on TikTok not only to existing partners but also to the newly added Melon.

To use the new feature, Melon app integration is required within TikTok. With the Melon app installed on a smartphone, users can link the Melon app by pressing the 'Add to Music App' button on the song's Sound Detail Page within TikTok. After that, the 'Add to Music App' button changes to the 'Melon' button, and pressing it saves the selected songs directly to a TikTok-exclusive playlist in Melon's Music Drawer. The Music Drawer, Melon's fourth tab, is an archiving service that allows easy access to service usage history such as recently played, liked, my playlists, frequently played, and followed artists.

Han Min-woo, head of Melon Business Division at Kakao Entertainment, said, "We expect that the partnership with TikTok, which is leading global trends, will not only enhance satisfaction among existing users but also increase the influx of trendy new users." He added, "We will continue efforts to enhance the value of music together with leading partners in each field."
