Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) held a training session on the 15th at the Gyeonggi Viewer Media Center for public officials titled "Legal Response Measures to Illegal Acts by Civil Petitioners."
This training was organized in response to the increasing emotional and mental fatigue experienced by employees due to the rise in illegal acts by civil petitioners, highlighting the need for proactive measures.
The training was conducted by a professional lawyer with many years of public service experience. The main topics included △ the legal processing procedures for illegal acts occurring during civil petition responses △ preparation procedures for legal responses, providing practical response methods through real cases and precedents.
An employee who participated in the training said, "I have felt frustrated in the past because I did not know how to respond effectively when faced with illegal acts during civil petition responses," adding, "This training was very helpful as it taught us how to raise our voices through criminal case procedures and evidence collection methods."
A city official stated, "Illegal acts by civil petitioners cause significant distress to the responsible public officials and can also harm other petitioners," and added, "We will do our best to protect employees from illegal acts by civil petitioners and to establish a safe working environment through continuous training."
