The 1st Dongducheon Short Film Festival Held

The Korea Film Association Dongducheon Branch recently held the 1st Dongducheon Short Film Festival at the Dongducheon Youth Center.

The Dongducheon Branch of the Korea Film Association recently announced on the 15th that it held the 1st Dongducheon Short Film Festival at the Dongducheon Youth Center.

This film festival is the first short film festival held in Dongducheon City, organized to encourage local film creation activities and to provide dreams and prospects to aspiring young filmmakers in the region.

The event included screenings of submitted works, congratulatory performances, and a Q&A session with film directors and producers.

In particular, the Q&A session, where youth interested in films could directly ask questions to directors and producers and explore the path of filmmakers, received great enthusiasm from local teenagers.

Park Hyeong-deok, mayor of Dongducheon City, said, “I believe the 1st Short Film Festival is the first step for Dongducheon to grow into a city of film arts, and we will support filmmakers to realize even bigger dreams in the future.”
