Concerts, Cultural Events, Art Festivals, and Pottery Festivals Receive Positive Response
Busan Gijang-gun successfully concluded the 18th Chaseong Cultural Festival, Gijang-gun's representative cultural festival, at the Gijang-Hyundai Dream Ballpark from the 12th to the 13th.
Organized to inherit and develop Gijang-gun's traditional culture and promote harmony among residents, this festival featured a variety of events including the ▲Gijang-gun Residents' Walking Contest ▲Seongju Sound Preservation Society Performance ▲Eup-Myeon Entrance Parade ▲Literary and Art Events ▲Choi Baek-ho Band's Romantic Concert ▲Gijang Open Music Concert ▲iNet TV Star Show ▲Gijang Arts Festival ▲Gijang Pottery Festival ▲Gijang Ssireum Champion Selection Contest, among others.
Especially this year, the festival offered a rich program reflecting Gijang's long history and tradition more than ever before. During the festival period, about 40,000 Gijang residents and tourists visited the festival site to enjoy various sights and attractions.
Additionally, over 30 experience booths such as kite making & flying, rice cake pounding, jibbitz making, air bounce, and robot-made cotton candy were set up, along with specialty food markets featuring Gijang Pajeon, markets, and food trucks, captivating visitors' eyes and palates and receiving great responses.
County Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “Thanks to the participation and help of many residents, including the Festival Promotion Committee, we were able to successfully complete this Chaseong Cultural Festival. We will continue to uphold its status as the county's representative cultural festival and provide active support to make it a more progressive festival.”
