Creating a Space for Free Communication
Daegu Cyber University held the 'Gyeongnam-Jeolla Regional Meeting' on the 12th at the Yi Sun-sin Leadership International Center Okpo Hall in Changwon, Gyeongnam.
The event was organized to create a communication platform between the student council and local students, listen to students' opinions, resolve difficulties experienced in university life, and foster a better learning environment.
Through the meeting, they plan to listen to the challenges faced by students from different regions and develop customized learning support programs to improve students' academic achievement and satisfaction.
About 50 current students and alumni residing in the Gyeongnam and Jeolla regions attended the meeting, which proceeded in the order of opening remarks, participant introductions, greeting from the student council president, making upcycled sock yarn hanging pots, recreation, and free discussion.
Notably, Professor Lim Ji-hyang from the Department of Art Therapy attended the meeting to encourage students and held an informational session about the newly established doctoral program.
Professor Lim said, “Thank you for celebrating the establishment of our university’s new doctoral program in Art Counseling together,” and added, “Students from other departments within our university are also eligible to enter the doctoral program in Art Counseling,” providing detailed guidance on admission requirements.
Kim Hee-sook, president of the student council (Department of Counseling Psychology), said, “We ask for your continued interest and participation so that the university can be a place created by and for students.”
