Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency held the '2024 Google Tech Day' on the 15th at the Pangyo Gyeonggi AI Campus.
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has partnered with global big tech companies to secure talent amid fierce competition in artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
On the 15th, the agency held the '2024 Google Tech Day' at the Pangyo Gyeonggi AI Campus. This event was organized in collaboration with Google Cloud as part of the agency's ongoing '2024 AI Tech Day' series.
About 80 participants, including startups and students interested in AI from the province, attended the event, which featured an introduction to the latest AI technology trends and hands-on workshops where attendees could directly experience the technology.
One trainee who participated in Tech Day said, "Before the training, I had vague fears about using AI, but after experiencing it firsthand, I gained insights into how AI technology can be utilized," adding, "I think not only my theoretical understanding of AI technology but also my practical development skills have improved."
Kang Sung-cheon, head of the agency, stated, "We are very honored to provide Gyeonggi residents with the opportunity to directly experience and learn about the latest AI technologies from a global company through this Google Tech Day," and explained, "We will continue to collaborate with various global companies to contribute to strengthening the AI capabilities of our residents."
