Chungcheong Region Veterans Police Association of Four Cities and Provinces: "Chungnam Is the Best Location for the Central Police Academy"

Chungcheong Region Veterans Police Association of Four Cities and Provinces: "Chungnam Is the Best Location for the Central Police Academy"

The Veterans Police Association of the four Chungcheong provinces has joined forces to support the bid to host the Second Central Police Academy in Chungnam.

On the 15th, they held a press conference at the Chungnam Provincial Government Office, stating, "Chungnam is the optimal location where over 5,000 police trainees from across the country can easily travel," and emphasized, "For the future of the police force, the Second Central Police Academy must be established in Chungnam."

They continued, "The governors of Yeongho-nam provinces are jointly responding to attract the academy to Namwon, Jeonbuk, but this is not an issue to be resolved politically," adding, "The site selection for the Second Central Police Academy should be made objectively, considering the directness and convenience of police education."

They strongly appealed, "Please help attract the Second Central Police Academy to Chungnam so that it can establish itself as the center leading the future of the police and grow into a world-class police-specialized city."

Previously, Asan and Yesan in Chungnam, and Namwon in Jeonbuk were selected as candidates for the site of the Second Central Police Academy. Ahead of the final selection, when the governors of six Yeongho-nam regions issued a joint statement to support Namwon's bid, Kim Taeheum, the governor of Chungnam, pointed out that a political joint response was not appropriate.
