The HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation is supporting the future of aspiring youth in the Ulsan region by providing scholarships again this year.

On the 15th, the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation held the '2024 Hope Sharing Scholarship Award Ceremony' at Hyundai Middle School, attended by representatives from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, HD Hyundai Electric, Hyundai Middle School, and the Ulsan Gangbuk Office of Education.

On this day, the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation awarded a total of 39.3 million KRW in scholarships to 93 students recommended by their school principals from vulnerable groups attending nine middle schools and eight high schools in Dong-gu, Ulsan, with which they have sisterhood ties, as well as five technical high schools in the Ulsan area. Middle school students received 300,000 KRW each, and high school students received 500,000 KRW each.

The HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation has been running the 'Hope Sharing Scholarship' program since 2022. In particular, it provides practical support by allowing vulnerable youth to use the scholarship funds not only for tuition but also for living expenses.

Kim Jae-hyun, a senior manager at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and a donor participating in the 1% salary sharing activity of HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation employees, who also attended the award ceremony, said, "We feel proud that our small sharing can give hope to the students," and added, "We support the students to overcome difficult family circumstances and to fully realize their bright dreams."

Meanwhile, the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation conducts social contribution activities for children and youth in the Ulsan region, including the 'Hopeful (饌) Side Dish' support project, fishing village experience activities, and cultural performance viewings.
