On the 15th, at the first trial for obstruction of official duties held before Judge Seong Jun-gyu of the Criminal Division 10 at the Seoul Western District Court, the prosecution asked the court to sentence President Kim to six months in prison with a one-year suspended sentence.

At the trial, President Kim admitted to all charges. He continued, "From now on, I will be more careful about my conduct and live with a mindset of serving the country and society."

After leaving the courthouse, President Kim did not respond to reporters' questions such as "Do you admit to the charge of assaulting a police officer?" and "How much did you drink at the time?" and left the scene.

President Kim was indicted on charges of assaulting police officers who responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the morning of June 17 while intoxicated. He joined Binggrae in 2014, was promoted to an executive position in January 2021, and became president in March of this year.

Meanwhile, the sentencing date for President Kim is scheduled for the 7th of next month.
