Exhibition of Offshore Products Including FPSO, WTIV, and Drillship
Hanwha Ocean will participate in the International Offshore Plant Exhibition held at BEXCO in Busan starting on the 16th, showcasing its marine equipment technology.
On the 15th, Hanwha Ocean announced that it will present four types of marine products at this exhibition: ▲Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) facilities ▲Floating Liquefied Natural Gas Production, Storage, and Offloading (LNG-FPSO) facilities ▲Wind Turbine Installation Vessels (WTIV) ▲Drillships. The International Offshore Plant Exhibition is the largest marine industry exhibition in Korea, held biennially and attracting over 15,000 visitors.
The FPSO on display is the world's largest FPSO, capable of producing up to 220,000 barrels of crude oil and 4.4 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. Hanwha Ocean has so far secured a total of eight FPSOs, including LNG-FPSOs, delivering seven and currently constructing one.
Hanwha Ocean's WTIV can transport and operate large offshore wind turbines of 15 MW or 20 MW class and can install turbines at depths of up to 65 meters. Hanwha Ocean has secured the largest number of WTIVs domestically, with four vessels, successfully delivering two and currently building two more.
The drillship applies a design developed in-house by Hanwha Ocean and can drill up to 12 kilometers deep in ultra-deep waters of up to 3.6 kilometers. Notably, it features two drilling towers, reducing operation time by more than 25% compared to a single tower. Additionally, it is equipped with a dynamic positioning system for stable hull positioning and two explosion-proof safety devices, meeting both efficiency and safety requirements.
A Hanwha Ocean representative stated, "We will further strengthen our influence in the global marine market through innovative technologies and products."
