Namyangju-si Pyeongnae-dong, 10th Pyeongnae-dong Residents' Unity Sports Festival Successfully Held

A Festival Venue Featuring a Cheerful Sports Day and Cultural Performances

Joo Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju City, is shaking hands with residents at the '10th Pyeongnae-dong Residents Unity Sports Festival' held on the 12th.

The Pyeongnae-dong Sports Association (President Bae In-seong) in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 14th that it successfully concluded the "10th Pyeongnae-dong Residents' Unity Sports Festival" on the 12th at the Pyeongnae Middle School sports field, with over 1,000 residents participating.

This sports festival was organized to strengthen harmony among residents and reinforce community cohesion. Starting with a Taekwondo demonstration performance, the event continued with an opening ceremony, a cheerful sports competition, and a cultural festival, providing a festive occasion that all Pyeongnae-dong residents could enjoy.

In particular, a meaningful time was held to support future sports talents by awarding scholarships to young athletes.

The cheerful sports competition consisted of various events that the whole family could participate in, such as balloon popping, cooperative rolling, and color plate flipping, receiving great enthusiasm from participants.

Joo Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju-si, said, "I thank the Pyeongnae-dong Sports Association for preparing the sports festival to promote harmony in Pyeongnae-dong. Thanks to the residents' interest, Namyangju-si is developing every year," and added, "We will continue to do our best to improve the quality of life for residents."
