Kim Dong-geun, Mayor of Uijeongbu, attended the 'Colored by the Mountain Temple' event held at the traditional temple Hoeryongsa on the 12th and 13th, delivering a greeting. Gyeonggi Uijeongbu City (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 14th that the temple culture festival "Dyed in the Temple" was successfully held at the traditional temple Hoeryongsa (Chief Monk Seongjin) on the 12th and 13th.
This event, prepared as part of Gyeonggi-do's religious community cultural arts program support project, was conducted through a program utilizing national heritage within the temple and artistic performances encompassing both tradition and modernity.
On the first day of the event, under the theme "Autumn in the Temple Dyed with Traditional Arts," traditional cultural attractions such as pungmul pan-gut and lion mask dance were presented.
On the second day, the event featured gayageum byeongchang and popera, signaling "Autumn in the Temple Ripening with Musical Melodies," allowing over 350 citizens to fully enjoy the mature autumn atmosphere.
In particular, the national heritage utilization experience program, operated as a continuous program during the event period, received great responses from citizens.
Chief Monk Seongjin said, "In the deepening autumn, I wanted to create good memories for many citizens at the beautiful Hoeryongsa," and added, "We will continue to strive to present meaningful programs that highlight the characteristics of Hoeryongsa."
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "Thank you for providing a meaningful time to enjoy culture and arts with citizens at the serene mountain temple Hoeryongsa," and added, "We will work to ensure that the history of Hoeryongsa, which contains the origins and identity of our city, continues for a long time."
