Kyungnam College of Information & Technology, Overseas Training at International Expo for Energy Talent Development

Kyungnam College of Information & Technology (President Kim Taesang) recently conducted an overseas training program for its students to learn about the latest trends in the energy sector and gain field experience.

Kyungnam College of Information & Technology, Overseas Training at International Expo for Energy Talent Development Seven universities, including Gyeongnam Information College, visited the Smart Energy Week Expo and related industries held at Makuhari Messe in Japan.

The program, held from the 1st to the 4th at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Tokyo, Japan, was organized by the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project Group of Kyungnam College of Information & Technology. A total of 30 students and professors from seven universities, including Korea University, Seoul National University, Hanyang University, Kangwon National University, Pusan National University, and Jeonbuk National University, participated.


The students visited the '2024 World Smart Energy Week' expo, the Hydrogen Museum, Shiomi Hydrogen Station, and Iwatani Hydrogen Station. They also had the opportunity to experience the latest overseas technologies and facilities in solar energy, wind energy, secondary batteries, and fuel cells, as well as to complete program assignments and share their achievements.


Kim Jingi, a student from the Department of Chemical Energy Engineering who participated in the program, shared, "It was a great help to be able to directly experience the latest overseas technologies by attending the world's largest energy exhibition held in Japan."


Heo Gwangseon, head of the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project Group at Kyungnam College of Information & Technology, said, "It was a great opportunity for students from the seven participating universities to broaden their horizons in the energy sector and strengthen their global competencies. We will continue to do our best to nurture talents who can contribute to the development of the new energy industry."
