Seodaemun-gu to Hold 'High School Admission Expo' on the 2nd of Next Month

Seodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seongheon) will hold the 2024 High School Admission Fair on the 6th floor auditorium of the district office from 2 PM to 5 PM on the 2nd of next month. This event is organized to provide accurate information about the changing high school admission system and to help students choose high schools that match their aptitudes and career paths.


In the first part of the fair, an admission expert will give a lecture on "Key Strategies for Choosing High Schools and Changes in Admission Policies." In the second part, six high schools in Seodaemun-gu?Gajaeul High School, Myeongji High School, Ewha Girls' High School, Inchang High School, Jungang Girls' High School, and Hanseong High School?will participate to introduce their school overviews and specialized programs. The third part, "Finding the Right High School for Me," will offer one-on-one individual consultations at school-specific counseling and promotion booths, where current career guidance teachers and students will provide more detailed school and career information.


Any middle school student and parent in the district can participate free of charge. Registration is limited to the first 300 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. Those interested can apply starting from the 21st of this month through the Seodaemun District Office or the Seodaemun Career and Admission Support Center website announcements.


Mayor Lee Seongheon said, "This will be a valuable opportunity to learn about and compare various information about local high schools in one place, which will help middle school students in choosing high schools and planning their careers."


Meanwhile, the "Seodaemun Career and Admission Support Center," which opened in June last year, offers ongoing one-on-one consulting, briefings, and special lectures for elementary, middle, and high school students and their parents. Anyone in the district can use the center by making a reservation through the center’s website.
