The event was attended by key executives from Carlyle Group, including Justine V. Plouffe, CIO, and Lee Soo-yong, Head of Asia Strategy. At the event, both parties agreed to cooperate more closely on the development and management of credit-based products.

Carlyle is a global integrated asset management firm managing a total of $425 billion in assets as of the first half of this year. Along with Blackstone and KKR, it is considered one of the top three private equity firms worldwide and has strengths in credit sectors such as loans and structured bonds. It established a strategic partnership with Korea Investment & Securities in October last year.

Korea Investment & Securities is focusing on overseas business by partnering with global financial firms including Carlyle. The joint venture (JV) 'SF Credit Partners,' established with the U.S. integrated financial company Stifel Financial, is concentrating on acquisition finance and private debt (PD) business in the U.S. market, rapidly expanding its corporate finance capabilities and network. In May, it also formed a collaborative relationship with Anchorage Capital to expand its structured credit-related business. Through global financial firms, it is accumulating diverse investment experiences both directly and indirectly, and plans to independently source overseas products in the mid to long term to supply domestic investors.

Kim Sung-hwan, CEO of Korea Investment & Securities, said, "Over the past year, through collaboration with Carlyle, we have strived to supply high-quality financial products actively traded in advanced financial markets to the domestic market." He added, "Going forward, we will devote even more effort to strengthening the retail product pipeline utilizing our global network to provide stable and diverse investment opportunities to domestic individual investors."
