Gwangju City Council Opens the 312th Extraordinary Session on the 15th The Gwangju City Council.

The Gwangju City Council of Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Heo Kyung-haeng) announced on the 14th that it will hold the 312th extraordinary session for a total of 7 days from the 15th to the 21st.


During this extraordinary session, the council plans to handle a total of 37 agenda items, including the report on the results of actions taken on the 2024 administrative audit findings, 24 ordinances including 4 proposed by council members, 7 consent items, and 6 other matters.


The main schedule includes the 1st plenary session on the 15th, where a special committee will be formed to review the report on actions taken regarding the administrative audit findings and complete preparations for the examination. The Council Steering Committee will closely review 12 agenda items, including the "Gwangju City Council Personnel Hearing Ordinance." On the 16th and 17th, the executive branch will present the "2024 Administrative Audit Findings Action Report," allowing for a thorough review of the results achieved so far and future plans.


On the 18th, the Administrative Welfare Committee will review 15 items, including the "Ordinance to Promote the Right to Play for Children in Gwangju," while the Urban Environment Committee will deliberate on 4 agenda items, including the "Ordinance on the Promotion and Support of Smart Agriculture in Gwangju." On the last day of the session, the 21st, the 2nd plenary session will be held to make final decisions on ordinances and other agenda items reviewed by each standing committee, concluding the session.


Chairman Heo Kyung-haeng stated, “Please thoroughly review the 31 ordinances and consent items submitted for this extraordinary session, as well as the results of actions taken on administrative audit findings, with expertise to ensure the implementation of trustworthy administration.”
