At Yes24, 270,000 copies of books written by Han Kang were sold from the night of the 10th until 2 PM on Sunday.

The holding company Hanse Yes24 Holdings was also trading at 7,360 KRW as of 9:46 AM on the same day, up 1,510 KRW (25.81%) from the previous trading day.

Amid this unprecedented enthusiasm, the 'Nobel Prize in Literature' halo effect is expected to continue in the bookstore industry for the time being.

Looking at the real-time bestseller rankings, both Kyobo Bookstore and Yes24 are dominated by Han Kang's poetry and novels. Most of these books are being sold through pre-orders, indicating that demand still exceeds supply.

Following Han Kang's Nobel Prize win, not only books directly written by Han Kang but also songs mentioned by Han Kang are climbing the charts in reverse, spreading a popular 'Han Kang fever.' Meanwhile, books by her father, author Han Seung-won, are also gaining attention.
