Harris Graces Vogue Cover... "Imprinting a Strong Leader Image with a Power Pose"

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris graced the cover of the American fashion magazine Vogue.

On the 11th (local time), the digital cover of Vogue's October issue, released on Vogue's website, featured Vice President Harris wearing a deep brown suit paired with a purple satin blouse.

Sitting on a sky-blue chair with one arm resting on the armrest and legs crossed, Vice President Harris gazed directly at the camera with a slight smile on her lips.

With less than a month remaining until Election Day, this is interpreted as an effort to imprint her image as a strong presidential candidate on voters.

U.S. CNN analyzed that Vice President Harris is striking a "comfortable yet deliberately thought-out 'power pose'" in the photo shoot, and that "viewers of the shoot are reminded of how Harris might appear in the 'important seat' she would occupy if she wins the presidential election."

Notably, the Vogue cover photo of Vice President Harris this time draws attention for presenting a completely different image from her first Vogue cover released three years ago.

Previously, in January 2021, after Harris was elected as the first female Vice President of the United States, the cover showed her in a casual look wearing black skinny jeans that revealed her ankles and canvas shoes.

At that time, the photo drew criticism from some Democratic supporters for being excessively casual and not fitting the vice presidential position.
