Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the Pope and presented a painting related to the 'Bucha massacre,' which Russia is suspected of perpetrating, Italian news agency ANSA reported on the 11th (local time).
According to the report, President Zelensky held a meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican from 9:45 a.m. for about 35 minutes. Prior to this, President Zelensky had met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
The Pope gifted President Zelensky a relief inscribed with the phrase "Peace is a fragile flower," and President Zelensky presented an oil painting depicting the 'Bucha massacre.' Bucha is a region near Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, where allegations of mass civilian killings by Russia have been raised.
