A famous football referee from T?rkiye with 430,000 Instagram followers has been permanently banned from the football world after being involved in a 'sex scandal' with a referee supervisor in his 60s. The referee is reported to be denying the allegations.
On the 9th, according to British media outlets Daily Mail and The Sun, Elif Karaarslan (24), a female referee from T?rkiye, was permanently suspended by the T?rkiye Football Federation (TFF) following the leak of a sexual video involving referee supervisor Orhan Erdemir (61).
Karaarslan strongly denies the allegations, stating that "the woman in the leaked video is not me." She said, "I will appeal this decision," adding, "Although it will be a long legal battle, I will overcome it in the strongest possible way." She continued, "I expect full support from my fans during this process. Crying, shouting, and grieving are not what I can do. I will uphold my cause until the end," and added, "I am just one of many victims, and I hope I am the last."
Karaarslan's lawyer also stated, "The leaked video is not the original and was entirely generated through AI," explaining, "This is a deepfake video completely unrelated to my client." Furthermore, "Upon examining the video, it is very easy to see that the images are unclear and the parties involved have been fully edited by computer," adding, "It is a malicious and intentional video created using someone else's footage for material and moral gain."
Referee supervisor Erdemir also said, "Because of this video, my honor in my family, society, and the referee community has been destroyed. The financial loss is significant, but the emotional damage is indescribable."
Meanwhile, Karaarslan played as a player for the prestigious Turkish football team Be?ikta?. However, due to injury, she ended her playing career and pursued a path as a referee. She is known for her beautiful looks and model-like figure, boasting over 430,000 followers on Instagram alone.
