Expansion of Counseling Room and Completion of Soundproof Door Installation

Catholic University has remodeled the Counseling Center of the Graduate School of Counseling Psychology.

Catholic University recently announced that it held a celebration event for the remodeling of the Counseling Center of the Graduate School of Counseling Psychology at the Catholic University Seongui Hall in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

The Counseling Center of the Graduate School of Counseling Psychology at Catholic University consists of two experts and about 40 trainees. With the increasing number of counseling applications and practice support every year, the center started play therapy services this year and has been carrying out space improvements and soundproofing construction since August.

The previously insufficient counseling space was dismantled and reorganized, resulting in the expansion of new counseling rooms, and double soundproof doors were installed to resolve noise issues. Additionally, to create a comfortable atmosphere for clients, the counseling rooms were newly named by borrowing from the ‘9 Fruits of the Holy Spirit.’

Kim Kyung-hee, head of the Counseling Center at the Graduate School of Counseling Psychology at Catholic University, said, "The Counseling Center of the Graduate School of Counseling Psychology has been selected as an ‘Excellent Branch Institution’ by the Korean Counseling Psychology Association and operates high-quality counseling programs. Through this remodeling of the counseling center, we will contribute to the mental health of local residents in an improved environment and do our best to ensure that graduate students can safely practice."

The center operates from Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It provides a wide range of psychological counseling services at minimal cost, including ▲MMPI, TCI, SCT psychological tests ▲psychological counseling ▲play therapy.
