Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) selected five public officials who demonstrated proactiveness and expertise in carrying out their duties as outstanding proactive public officials for the first half of 2024.


On October 7, the district held an award ceremony for the outstanding proactive public officials of the first half of 2024 at Seoninbong Hall on the 2nd floor of Dobong-gu Office, encouraging the awardees for their hard work.


The district awards commendations and special benefits to employees who achieve results through proactive work, contribute to regulatory innovation, or discover new policies.


Previously, the district received a total of eight cases and, after a strict evaluation process, selected five outstanding public officials: one grand prize winner, one excellence awardee, and three encouragement awardees.


The evaluation process included a first-round performance verification, a survey of all employees, a practical review by eight senior officials including the deputy mayor, and a final review by seven personnel committee members.

The grand prize was awarded to Seong Hyang-sook, a manager in the Child and Youth Division. She received the honor of a special promotion. Manager Seong was the first in the nation to implement a project for early detection and intervention of developmental delays in infants and toddlers.


The excellence award went to Lee Soon-ho, a manager in the Parks and Leisure Division, who led the “Creation of the Choansan Clay Road and Barefoot Trail” project. As a reward, he received the highest grade of the performance bonus for next year.


The encouragement awards were given to Park Dong-won, a manager in the Street Management Division for the “Dobongsan Street Vendor Environment Improvement Project,” Park Chang-soon, a manager in the Youth Future Division for the “Seed Cube Changdong Startup Ecosystem Development Project,” and Park Kyu-tae, a manager in the Planning and Budget Division for the “Strengthening Administrative Efficiency through Major Project Performance Management.” They were granted special leave as a reward.


Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “To further activate the culture of proactive administration, we have provided unprecedented special benefits such as special promotions,” and added, “I hope district employees will emulate the awardees to improve the quality of life for residents and develop and implement policies that transform Dobong-gu.”
