Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) successfully held the 2024 Jungnang Youth Career Expo on the 10th at Yongma Waterfall Park.

The district organized the career expo to help young people who are contemplating their career paths explore their aptitudes and interests, and to provide opportunities for career experiences.

Composed mainly of hands-on programs, this expo featured participation from 25 specialized high schools, 10 Fourth Industrial Revolution experience booths, and 10 village network booths, helping youth find suitable dreams for their future.

The expo was divided into a ▲Career and Academic Advancement Zone, where specialized high schools promoted themselves and professional counselors provided guidance on department experiences and higher education admission; a ▲Job Experience Zone, where participants could try various professions such as coffee experts (baristas) and perfumers; and a ▲Village Network Zone, introducing essential community facilities like welfare centers and human rights centers.

Approximately 2,500 students freely participated according to their interests and curiosities, spending time reflecting on and exploring their career paths.

In particular, booths such as AI sticker photo booths and virtual reality (VR) truck booths, designed to let students directly experience and enjoy new technologies suited to the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, drew great enthusiasm from the students.

A student from Songgok Girls' Middle School who participated in the career expo said, “It was very fun to directly experience virtual reality through the VR truck, something I usually cannot access,” and added, “It was a meaningful time to learn about various professions.”

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “I hope the Jungnang Youth Career Expo has greatly helped the youth of Jungnang-gu find their dreams and plan their futures,” and added, “We will continue to provide more opportunities for young people to experience diverse professional worlds and explore career paths that suit them.”
