Dongducheon-si Public Health Center Expands Eligibility for Household Care Services for Pregnant Women Dongducheon Public Health Center exterior.

The Public Health Center of Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 10th that it will expand the support target for household care services for registered pregnant citizens.

The household care service support project for pregnant women is operated in connection with government-certified household service providers.

The Dongducheon Public Health Center has abolished the previous residency requirement and relaxed the support target to pregnant women residing in the city from 12 weeks of pregnancy until 3 months after childbirth.

The service items include special cleaning that pregnant women find difficult to perform themselves, specifically ▲ comprehensive air conditioner cleaning ▲ thorough bathroom cleaning ▲ bedding laundry ▲ kitchen ventilation facility cleaning ▲ mattress management ▲ indoor disinfection ▲ refrigerator cleaning, with support provided up to 4 times per person.

A Public Health Center official said, “By strengthening support from the prenatal stage, we aim to actively respond to the low birthrate issue and create a favorable environment for having and raising children by alleviating the physical and economic burdens of pregnant and postpartum families, which is why we expanded the support target.”

Meanwhile, service applications can be made by filling out the documents posted on the Public Health Center’s website and submitting them in person or via email. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Health Promotion Division of the Dongducheon Public Health Center.
