CU Exclusively Launches Thai ‘Mogu Mogu Large-Size Juice’
CU is launching two types of Thai Mogu Mogu juice in large sizes through direct overseas sourcing. The volume is 500ml, 1.5 times larger than the existing size. Mogu Mogu juice, a popular Thai beverage, contains nata de coco called coconut jelly inside various fruit-flavored drinks such as lychee, peach, and yogurt, offering a unique texture that has gained popularity among many consumers. CU exclusively introduces the large-size versions of the two best-selling flavors, Mogu Mogu Lychee and Peach, in Korea. Mogu Mogu juice has sold over 38 million bottles cumulatively at CU and has been a bestseller ranking in the top 5 in the fruit beverage category for several years.
Ottogi Launches Two Types of ‘Low-Temperature Aged Wild Grilled Eel’
Ottogi is launching two types of ‘Low-Temperature Aged Wild Grilled Eel’ convenient meals using sea eel, which is good for revitalization during the vulnerable seasonal change period when immunity tends to weaken. These products can be cooked not only by heating but also using an air fryer or microwave, allowing consumers to enjoy high-quality grilled eel easily at home. The two flavors include Teriyaki and Spicy. The Teriyaki flavor adds the deep and subtle taste and sweetness unique to soy sauce, while the Spicy flavor uses cinnamon and ginger to provide a soft yet sophisticated spiciness. The most carefully crafted part is the ‘seasoning sauce’ that completes the taste of grilled eel. To find the perfect golden ratio that captivates consumers’ taste buds, Ottogi visited dozens of famous grilled eel restaurants nationwide and created a special sauce at a professional level. The eel is the highest quality sea eel sourced from the only sea eel specialized fisheries cooperative in Korea, the Geoje Coastal Trap Fisheries Cooperative.
Lotte Home Shopping’s Health Food Joint Venture Launches First Product ‘Denmark Protein Story’
Lotte Home Shopping will launch the first product of its joint venture ‘The Edition Health,’ called ‘Denmark Protein Story,’ on the 12th, officially entering the premium protein market. Denmark Protein Story is a premium protein health functional food designed for middle-aged and older adults whose protein intake tends to decrease. Unlike the usual method of importing raw materials and manufacturing domestically, this product is the industry’s first to directly import finished products produced in Denmark. Additionally, reflecting the preferences of middle-aged and older consumers, it includes high-functionality ingredients for blood sugar and cholesterol care. The product will be launched on the food living program ‘Choi Yura Show’ on the 12th. Following this launch, the product lineup will be diversified to include protein bars and beverages, and sales channels will be expanded to Lotte Group affiliates and others. Park Hyung-gyu, head of Lotte Home Shopping’s food division, said, “We plan to strengthen market competitiveness by diversifying the product lineup with protein bars, beverages, and more.”
Paradise Hotel & Resort Launches Whole Kimchi HMR
Paradise Hotel & Resort has launched a premium whole kimchi convenient meal (HMR) containing the secret recipe of a fine dining master chef. This kimchi uses the recipe of the head chef of ‘SERAS?’, a Korean fine dining restaurant inside the luxury boutique hotel ‘Art Paradiso’ at Paradise City. High-quality napa cabbage produced through contracted cultivation is salted with domestic salt to provide a clean and refreshing taste. Know-how for subtle umami and deep flavor has also been added. Along with a special broth made by heating various ingredients such as kelp, anchovies, shrimp, and chili seeds at high temperature, it includes Gunsan yellow rockfish jeot, anchovy jeot fermented for over two years, and shrimp jeot. Domestic persimmon pur?e is also used for sweetness. A representative of Paradise Hotel & Resort stated, “We will continue to expand our convenient meal lineup based on Paradise’s 50 years of food and beverage know-how.”
Black Yak Launches High-Performance ‘Hima Down’ Series
Outdoor brand Black Yak has launched the ‘Hima Down’ series. Every year, Black Yak draws inspiration from the Himalayas, whose name means ‘the place where snow stays,’ and presents a high-performance down jacket series incorporating differentiated heat retention technology. The newly released Hima Down series enhances functionality to allow enjoyment of snow even in the harsh winter wind and cold, as suggested by the meaning of ‘Hima,’ which means snow. It uses Gore-Tex Windstopper material to block cold wind and RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified European goose down antibacterial filling to increase warmth. It also features graphene lining with anti-static functionality.
Pigeon Releases Limited Edition High-Concentration Fabric Softener ‘High-Concentration Pigeon Autumn Travel’
Pigeon has released a limited edition fabric softener ‘High-Concentration Pigeon Autumn Travel’ for the autumn season. The new product applies green and fruits as top notes, lilac and jasmine as middle notes, and musk and woody as base notes to the bestselling ‘High-Concentration Pigeon,’ creating a fresh yet cozy fragrance. The scent is enhanced fourfold compared to the company’s regular fabric softener, allowing a rich fragrance with only a quarter (20ml) of the usual amount. It has also passed skin irritation tests conducted by a specialized safety and efficacy evaluation institution. It contains no unnecessary chemical ingredients such as thickeners, microplastics, preservatives, or colorants, leaving no residue on fabrics after washing. It is available in three sizes: 1L, 1.6L, and 2L, allowing consumers to purchase according to their needs.
