Donation of 5,000 books in 598 categories from Sigong Junior... Distributed to children's cultural space 'Deullaknallak'
The city of Busan announced that a book donation ceremony by the Biosmart Group, aimed at supporting children's books for the children's complex cultural space "Deullak Nallak," will be held at 4 p.m. on the 10th in the International Protocol Room at City Hall.
Attendees at the donation ceremony include Mayor Park Hyungjoon, Biosmart Group Chairwoman Park Hyerin, Sigongsa CEO Cho Yoonseong, and TC Materials CEO Shim Youngseop, among others.
On this day, the Biosmart Group will donate 5,000 copies of 598 types of Sigong Junior children's books, valued at approximately 60 million KRW. The donated books will be distributed to six Deullak Nallak locations, serving as stepping stones for children to dream of a broader world and to nurture their creativity and imagination.
The six Deullak Nallak locations receiving the donations are City Hall, the Modern and Contemporary History Museum, the Marine Natural History Museum, Domohon, Ulsukdo Cultural Center, and the Sasang Childcare Support Center.
Established in 1971, the Biosmart Group operates 12 affiliates in the fields of smart solutions, energy, life (bio), and cultural content, and continues to grow alongside the local community through various social contribution initiatives.
The children's complex cultural space "Deullak Nallak," where children and parents in Busan dream of a happy future, currently operates 63 locations throughout Busan, with 41 more under development.
The city plans to use this book donation as an opportunity to expand "Deullak Nallak" through public-private cooperation, linking it with corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Detailed information on the status and programs of each Deullak Nallak facility can be found on the Deullak Nallak website.
Mayor Park Hyungjoon stated, "The donation of children's books by the Biosmart Group is an example of corporate social responsibility, going beyond the simple sharing of books to become a valuable investment in children's futures and a message of hope. I am grateful for the interest and support of companies for 'Deullak Nallak,' and I hope the positive influence of these donations will continue. The city will also do its best to ensure children grow up in better environments and that educational and cultural resources are provided equally to all children."
