Recovery footwear brand Bark announced on the 8th that it has acquired patented technology transferred from the Suncheonhyang University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation. With this, Bark has obtained its fourth patent right. The company holds 13 trademarks.
The newly transferred patented technology involves a configuration for a shoe set capable of rehabilitation treatment, designed in a detachable form that combines upper and lower parts, allowing assembly according to therapeutic functions.
Bark's products insert balance foam in two areas where the most weight is applied through gait analysis, designed to absorb shock on the soles and help promote proper walking.
Byun Hee-jun, CEO of Bark, said, "Through the transfer of new technology, we have laid the foundation to realize the research value of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation in our products," adding, "We will do our best to apply the patented technology well to create products that help foot health."
