Cheongsong County to Host 'Cheongsong Apple Trail Run'... Oxy Cafe Baekilhong Cheongsong Garden

Let's Run Through Cheongsong While Enjoying the Scent of Baegilhong

Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province will host the '2024 Cheongsong Apple Trail Run' at the Sanso Cafe Cheongsong Garden, the nation's largest zinnia garden, on the 13th.

This event is co-hosted by Cheongsong County and Maeil Newspaper, with support from the Cheongsong County Council, Cheongsong County Sports Council, Cheongsong Police Station, Cheongsong County Model Drivers' Association, and Cheongsong County Motorcycle Federation.

The competition consists of four courses: mountain half marathon, 10km, 5km, and a Cheongsong Garden walking course. Participants will be able to enjoy the autumn atmosphere as they cross the Cheongsong Garden filled with zinnias.

In particular, a variety of events and entertainment will be available at the venue, providing participants and visitors with an opportunity to relax both body and mind.

With the recent running boom, the number of participants in the 'Cheongsong Apple Trail Run' has been steadily increasing, with around 1,400 people registered this year. The proportion and number of younger participants have also risen significantly compared to previous years.

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, "I sincerely welcome all athletes and officials who have come to Cheongsong to participate in this event," adding, "I hope this will be a time to regain vitality and recharge your energy amidst the beautiful nature of Cheongsong."
