The Naechon-myeon Administrative Welfare Center in Pocheon City held the "Orchestra and Folk Games Together~YO" festival on the 4th at the Naechon Education and Culture Center area, organized by the Naechon-myeon Cultural PD along with the Naechon Samulnori Team. The Administrative Welfare Center of Naechon-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 7th that on the 4th, the Naechon-myeon Cultural PD held the "Orchestra and Folk Play Together~YO" festival with the Naechon Samulnori Team around the Naechon Education and Culture Center.
This festival was organized by the Naechon-myeon Cultural PD, the Naechon-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee, and the Barugesalgi Movement Naechon-myeon Committee, and sponsored by the Pocheon Culture and Tourism Foundation. It was prepared to help residents enjoy the autumn and have a healing time amid their tiring daily lives by offering various performances including classical concerts, experiential events, and food.
At the festival, folk play experiences such as flower drawing, calligraphy, instant photo shoots using Samulnori costumes and instruments (photographer Kim Hyoguk), and jegichagi (a traditional Korean shuttlecock kicking game) were held. Various performances were also presented, including the Pungmulnori performance by the "Naechon Samulnori Team," classical music by the "Wind Orchestra," Jindo Bukchum and Jaenggangchum dances by teacher Jo Minjeong, and labor songs by Pocheon Menari.
Additionally, members of the Residents' Autonomy Committee directly prepared and served food such as bindaetteok (mung bean pancakes) and sundae (Korean blood sausage), enhancing the festival's excitement.
Ha Insuk, chairperson of the Naechon-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee, said, "I hope this Orchestra and Folk Play Together~YO festival served as an opportunity to promote harmony among the residents and help them relive youthful memories while enjoying the autumn."
