Fire at Pocheon Furniture Assembly Factory... Extinguished After About 2 Hours

A fire broke out at a wooden furniture assembly factory in Gasan-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, around 5 a.m. on the 6th.

The fire was fully extinguished by the fire authorities who responded to the report after 2 hours and 30 minutes. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

The Northern Gyeonggi Fire and Disaster Headquarters deployed 36 pieces of equipment including pump trucks, high-performance chemical trucks, water tank trucks, aerial ladder trucks, rescue operation vehicles, and command vehicles, along with 81 firefighting specialists including fire suppression teams, rescue teams, emergency medical teams, command teams, and investigation teams to complete the fire suppression.

The fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
