"An Empty Potato Chip Bag Worth 2 Million Won?"... The Identity of the Luxury New Wallet

Suspected New Arrivals from 25 Summer Collection

The French luxury brand 'Balenciaga' has attracted attention by unveiling a new wallet designed to look like a 'potato chip bag' exterior.

'Demnagram,' known for delivering news about new releases faster than Balenciaga's official social media (SNS), recently posted various photos and videos on its Instagram, describing them as "Balenciaga Summer 25 Collection new arrivals." Demnagram is known to be run by an avid fan of Demna Gvasalia, Balenciaga's creative director.

Among the new items revealed by this account was the 'potato chip bag' wallet, capturing the attention of netizens worldwide. At first glance, it looks like a crumpled potato chip bag, but when you hold both sides and open it, it becomes a wallet inside.

Inspired by leftover snack bags, the product is expected to be priced at $1,750 (approximately 2.36 million KRW). The wallet comes in two options: a long wallet and a half wallet, and just as the color of potato chip bags varies according to seasoning, various color options such as yellow, green, and black are also available.

Balenciaga's 'love for potato chips' is not new. Last year, the brand made headlines by releasing a potato chip clutch bag in its seasonal collection. It is known that director Demna Gvasalia collaborated with the American snack brand 'Lays' to create the product, and at that time, Balenciaga amazed people by replicating the appearance of a real potato chip bag using leather.

Meanwhile, earlier this year at Paris Fashion Week, Balenciaga also showcased a bracelet design resembling thick transparent tape. The price of this bracelet reached 3,000 euros (approximately 4.43 million KRW), sparking controversy among netizens.
