29-Year-Old Employee Drunkly Breaks Into Taxi Company's Female Changing Room
Caught Sleeping by Staff... Told Police "I Don't Know Why I Did It"
An employee of Japan's public broadcaster NHK was arrested after entering a women's changing room while intoxicated.
On the 6th, NHK reported, "A 29-year-old NHK employee was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after entering the women's changing room of a taxi company located in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo."
The arrested employee is known to be a staff member of NHK's Media Technology Department. He is suspected of secretly entering the women's changing room of the taxi company in Shinagawa Ward around 12:30 a.m. on the 6th. A taxi company employee found it suspicious that the changing room door was locked, opened the door from outside, and discovered a man sleeping inside. The employee had an altercation with the taxi company staff and was arrested on the spot by police who had been called to the scene.
The man was reportedly intoxicated at the time and told the police during the investigation, "I don't know why I was arrested." The Metropolitan Police Department is conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances involving this man.
NHK issued an apology statement disclosing the employee's real name and charges, stating, "We will verify the facts and respond strictly."
