Na Kyung-won: "Lee Jae-myung and his 'Gaeddal' are impeachable reckless drivers... Former President Moon's daughter committed drunk driving"

"Impeachment? The One to Be Judged Is Lee Jae-myung"

On the 6th, Na Kyung-won, a member of the People Power Party, sharply criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, for remarks suggesting the removal of the president, saying, "The ones who should be judged by the people are Lee Jae-myung and the impeachment reckless driving of the Gaeddal (Daughters of Reform)."

On the same day, Na posted on Facebook, "During the 10.16 re-election campaign, Lee said, 'Let's pull down the president,'" and pointed out, "Lee Jae-myung, who acts like the president of Yeouido, is recklessly pushing impeachment attacks without end." Lee made the remarks during a campaign rally supporting the 10.16 re-election for Ganghwa County head in front of Incheon Ganghwa Post Office the day before, saying, "If someone does not do their job properly, they should be punished by changing them in the election, and if the situation is so serious that waiting for the election is not an option, removing them midway is democracy and representative politics." It is widely interpreted that he was referring to the impeachment of President Yoon Suk-yeol.

Na viewed Lee’s remarks as stemming from anxiety over judicial risks. She said, "As the sentencing date for Lee Jae-myung’s crimes of false statement and perjury inducement approaches this November, Democratic Party lawmakers have formed an impeachment preparation group, organized a 'Night of Presidential Impeachment' event in the National Assembly, and on weekends have taken to the streets to join forces with impeachment leaders in street rallies, escalating the impeachment alliance," emphasizing, "No matter what, the time of judgment will come."

She added, "Lee Jae-myung and the Gaeddal are recklessly driving impeachment, while the daughter of former President Moon Jae-in was caught driving under the influence," and said, "Their false agitation and hypocrisy will eventually be revealed for what is true and what is fake."

Moon Jae-in’s daughter, Dahye, was involved in a minor collision around 3 a.m. that day in front of the Hamilton Hotel in Itaewon, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, while driving a Casper vehicle under the influence and changing lanes, colliding with a taxi following behind. The taxi driver, the victim, reportedly suffered only mild neck stiffness.

According to police alcohol tests, Moon’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.14%, which corresponds to license cancellation (above 0.08%). She is scheduled to appear at the Yongsan Police Station on the morning of the 7th for police questioning. The legal limit for drunk driving is a blood alcohol concentration of 0.03% or higher. If the blood alcohol concentration is 0.08% or higher, it is considered driving under the influence, and the license is canceled. Additionally, licenses are canceled if a person drives under the influence two or more times.
