Guri City 'Finding Dementia in Daily Life, Walking 100,000 Steps' Non-Face-to-Face Challenge Promotion. The city of Guri, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 4th that from the 1st to the 28th, it will operate a non-face-to-face challenge called "Finding Dementia in Daily Life, Walking 100,000 Steps" for local residents to improve negative perceptions of dementia through exposure to positive dementia images.
This event, conducted through the mobile app Walkon, requires participants to join the "Guri City Official," "Dementia Safety Center," and "Guri Dementia Safety Village Community," walk 100,000 steps within the period, and post photo verification of finding the word "dementia" in daily life. Only those who complete the challenge will be entered into a draw to receive prizes for 264 people.
Meanwhile, the Guri City Public Health Center Dementia Safety Center operates various programs such as the Memory Tree Shelter, Cognitive Enhancement Classes, and Dementia Prevention Classes for dementia patients, high-risk groups, and local residents to prevent dementia deterioration and promote dementia prevention. It also conducts screening tests for early detection of dementia.
