A Foothold for Entering New Markets in the US, Europe, and More
Amorepacific Group announced on the 4th that it participated in the '2024 TFWA World Duty Free Exhibition' held in Cannes, France, showcasing three brands?Sulwhasoo, Laneige, and Hera?and their representative products.
The World Duty Free Exhibition is the largest duty-free expo in the world, hosted by the Tax Free World Association (TFWA). Amorepacific Group set up booths where visitors could experience best-selling products from global brands such as Sulwhasoo, Laneige, and Hera, and strengthened global networking with over 50 partners, including global duty-free retailers, throughout the four-day event.
This exhibition served as a foothold for new entry into Western markets such as the United States and Europe. Building on Laneige's achievements in the Americas, it aimed to expand customer touchpoints in the global duty-free market and actively target the Western duty-free market. Amorepacific plans to open Laneige stores in major terminals at New York JFK Airport, a representative U.S. airport, within this month.
Park Doo-bae, Executive Director of Amorepacific TR Division, stated, "During this TFWA period, we were able to secure a vision for business growth by strengthening collaborative relationships with existing and new global partners." He added, "We laid the foundation for sustained sales and profit growth in the global duty-free market by successfully entering new markets and securing leadership in existing markets on the global stage, and by implementing strategies that enable multinational customers to love Amorepacific brands."
Meanwhile, Amorepacific meets global travel customers at 270 duty-free stores across 17 countries worldwide, including South Korea.
