Added Features for Changing Combined Members and Sharing Discount Amounts
Plan to Launch Combined Member Telecom Bill Service Within the Year
LG Uplus announced on the 4th that it will add the ability to change combined members and share discount amounts to the 'Self Combination' service, which allows families to apply for combined discounts online.
'Self Combination' is a service that allows customers to apply for family combined discounts without submitting separate documents through the customer center app 'Your Uplus (U+)'. Previously, applying for family combination required issuing and submitting family relationship certificates, but with online self combination, applications can be made instantly on mobile with just phone authentication.
LG Uplus first introduced Self Combination in July, offering services such as new combinations and adding family members, and has now enhanced the service by adding the ability to change combined members and share discount amounts.
Through the combination change service, subscribers can cancel the combination of only their own line while still combined with existing family members and apply for a new combination, or the entire family can switch to a different combination.
It is also possible to freely allocate the discount amount received through family combination. Subscribers can easily concentrate the combined discount amount to one family member or divide it in units of 1,000 KRW via mobile.
Previously, changing combinations and sharing discount amounts required visiting a store in person and could not be processed immediately online, but with this enhancement of the online self combination feature, user convenience is expected to improve.
LG Uplus also plans to launch the 'Our Family Bill' service within the year, which will provide information on the communication fee usage and payment details of members connected through family combination, as well as annual combined discount benefits.

She added, "We will continue to enhance services to provide differentiated experiences by enabling users to enjoy various communication benefits through digital channels."
