According to Samsung Electronics Newsroom on the 4th, Samsung Electronics began supplying approximately 4,000 hours of Korean content to the U.S. through Samsung TV Plus on the 3rd (local time), in partnership with content media companies such as CJ ENM, New ID, and KT Alpha. The U.S. TV market is the largest in the world.

Samsung Electronics plans to sequentially provide Korean content to various regions worldwide, starting with the U.S.

CJ ENM, which has an exclusive domestic partnership with Samsung TV Plus, introduced titles such as "Wise Mountain Village Life," "Queendom Puzzle," and "Street Woman Fighter 2" to North America for the first time. Recently, they also showcased the "Transit Love" series, which ranked first in subscriber contribution on their own OTT platform, TVING.

For global Korean film fans, Samsung TV Plus offers over 500 popular movies, including blockbuster hits like "Assassination," "The Thieves," and "Ode to My Father," as well as "Spring in Seoul," which is scheduled to be submitted for next year's Academy Awards in the U.S.

Samsung Electronics plans to continuously provide Korean films through strategic collaboration with New ID, which supplies the most Korean FAST channels and Korean films in the U.S., and KT Alpha, the largest digital content investment and distribution company in Korea.

'Samsung TV Plus' is a service provided based on the Tizen operating system (OS). The Tizen OS is installed on 300 million Samsung smart TVs. Samsung TV Plus offers over 3,000 channels and 50,000 video-on-demand (VOD) titles across 27 countries.

Choi Yong-hoon, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, said, "Based on Samsung Electronics' competitiveness as the global TV market leader for 18 consecutive years, we will lead the way in growing Samsung TV Plus into the global number one K-content platform and building an ecosystem that grows together with Korean content partners."
