Over 50 Swiss Companies in Advanced Technology Sector Participate
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA announced on the 3rd that they held the 'Swiss Advanced Materials, Parts, and Equipment (SoBuJang) Company Investment Attraction Briefing' at the headquarters of the Swiss Trade and Investment Promotion Agency in Zurich, Switzerland.
Co-hosted with the Swiss Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, this event was attended by over 50 Swiss companies in the semiconductor, electrical and electronics, bio-pharmaceutical, aerospace, and manufacturing solutions sectors. The Swiss Trade and Investment Promotion Agency is an organization under the Swiss Federal Economic Affairs Agency (SECO), established in 1927, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KOTRA in 2011.
Invest KOREA, Korea's national investment attraction agency, explained the trends in key industries such as our semiconductor, secondary battery, and bio-pharmaceutical sectors, as well as government investment attraction policies. The Swiss Trade and Investment Promotion Agency introduced the trade relationship with Korea and discussed opportunities for Swiss companies to enter the Korean market.
Swiss semiconductor SoBuJang companies showed great interest in Korea's semiconductor cluster development policy. Swiss electrical and electronic SoBuJang companies also expect to expand their business in the Korean market based on digital and eco-friendly technologies.
Kim Tae-hyung, CEO of Invest KOREA, said, "Korea's manufacturing industry is expected to grow significantly through the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), response to climate change, and diversification of supply chains," adding, "Investments by Swiss SoBuJang companies will provide great opportunities for the industries of both countries."
